How might we design a device that offers autistic adults' vibrational stimulation?
For adults on the Autism Spectrum or those with sensory challenges who need a long-term source of oral stimulation, Teethersense is a chewable and vibrating teether that provides sensational stimulation.
From a 2-day workshop known as Idealab where students spend one weekend designing innovative solutions for specific problems identified by the participating organizations. In collaboration with Al Sigl, Rochester Regional Health, and Simone Center of Innovation, this product concept was designed to offer parents, caregivers, or teachers with autistic children an alternative form of proprioceptive stimulation.
